Directed by Carly Roland, Hope in the Valley was shot in the height of the pandemic in the spring of 2020. The short, animated documentary dives into the Los Angeles homeless crisis through the eyes of Hope in the Valley’s director, Jonathan Leeper. Leeper, who spent decades embroiled in a battle with addiction and ultimately, homelessness, finds redemption through giving back to the homeless community in Los Angeles.
